The Power is in the Listener

During our long journey from Tuscany to Geneva, my husband and I got to listen to an enlightening Masterclass by Ankush Jain and Steve Hardison.

The session was rich with insights, and I can’t help but sharing some gold nuggets that we received:

✨ Applied Knowledge is Power: It’s not enough to simply possess knowledge; its true power lies in using it in your life. Are you truly applying what you know?

✨ The Power of Words: Our words shape our reality. Consider how you speak about yourself and the impact this has on your identity. If you often find yourself saying, “I am confused,” or any other disempowering statement, think about what state of being would be more beneficial. Declare who you are BEING and make sure you BE that version of yourself, consistently.

✨ Perception and Reality: We don’t see the world as it is; we see it as we are. The way you perceive your world is a direct reflection of your internal state. So if you change inwards, your entire world changes.

✨ Engagement in conversations: In any context, including sales, if the people you talk to sound uninterested, it’s probably a mirror of your own (lack of) engagement. Want to be more interesting? Learn to become more interested in others.

✨ You can LEARN to be self-forgiving, and sometimes even when you make amends, your mistake may cost you a relationship. And you will learn from that. It’s okay to make mistakes it’s like when kids learn to walk, if you fall down, get back on your feet and keep walking.

✨ Stop looking out there for the right partner – especially stop looking for the “yummy guy with a good wallet” at the Four Seasons Lounge 🙂 and instead, focus on BEING the right partner. Advice for my single clients and friends – ask your new date what their IQ is and if they don’t know…move on. Who’s next?

✨ Authenticity: You can imitate someone’s content, but ultimately, your clients will receive you, not the person you copied. Authenticity is key—be yourself.

I’m grateful for this nine-hour journey filled with deep reflections and wisdom. And I want to thank everyone who was on the Masterclass live last year, in Ankush Jain‘s school.
