So what do you want to let go of? Get ridd of?
I see this question a lot and it comes with answers like « anxiety, anger, working too much, binge drinking/eating, loneliness… »
As a passionate NLP Practitioner and Yoga Teacher, I know that rejecting or suppressing our emotions and certain parts of ourselves isn’t effective.
What creates congruence and self alignement is quite the opposite – accepting them, embracing them, and understanding their function. NLP presupposes that every behaviour and emotion has a motive and comes as a way to respond to a deeper need. Our job is to connect to ourselves in a deeper way to identify these needs. Just as body pain comes to express a message from the body to which the sooner we listen and respond, the better.
Therefore more powerful questions would be: « How can I love and accept myself better, including all my emotions and behaviour? How can I communicate with my body? How can I create a healthy response to fulfill my deeper needs? »
