Over the past few weeks, I realised almost every woman I am coaching is asking the same question:
Who am I becoming?
(Not, “What should I do next?!!”)
Because each one of them has stopped trying to fit into an old version of herself. This is so much more than changing a role, a location or a status.
It is a shift of identity.
How so? (This is a typical question my dear mentor John Overdurf would ask.)
Well, like this:
• A talented artist discovers her new vocation: a way to use her gifts to help people heal and thrive,
• A senior professional starts to trusts her own answers and allows herself to experiment new way of being in the world
• A doctor realizes she can create her internal state from the inside out, hence feel happy and free, regardless of circumstances.
• A heart-centered founder fully steps into her professional self and raises her influence and impact, from a place of assertiveness, confidence and presence.
• A master coach awakens to her super powers and brings more spaciousness and peace in her life, as she now sees her own strength.
• A passionate advocate for social inclusion discovers the freedom of no longer holding herself back, and goes for what she really wants.
The next chapter of their lives won’t be created by doing more, but by becoming more of who they already are, and letting go of the rest.
As your identity shifts, your decisions change. Your standards change. Your relationships change. Your work changes. The opportunities you notice change, and the way people respond to you begins to change.
You create the person you want to be, NOW.
To every woman I currently have the privilege of coaching: thank you.
Witnessing you transform and expand with such courage, honesty and curiosity is one of the greatest gifts of my work.
P.S. To my wonderful clients: if you recognise yourself here, smile, give yourself a hug and a big “Yahoo!” You deserve it. I celebrate you.
