Create your Running Ritual

PART I

Decide to go for a short run.

Choose a beautiful place, as beauty nourishes the soul. And set the intention to find beauty and invite pleasure. Replacing performance by pleasure makes a whole difference!

Start gently, become aware of your breath, your steps, your arm movements, notice places in the body where there is lightness.

Then start paying attention to your surroundings, look for beauty. Trees, plants, flowers, leaves, other people, children, ducks, birds, colours, shapes in the sky, let yourself be immersed by beauty.

Keep running gently, listening to your breath, feeling your life force moving through your body. If you need to slow down, then slow down or simply walk…and then start running again.

Pretty soon you may enter a state of meditation.

Is your perspective expanding?

Do you suddenly remember that life is fun, that life is a gift?

Do you realize that actually you love your life just as it is now?

Are you starting to feel bliss and gratitude for who you are and what is around you?

Then you have created your running meditation. A state of bliss, conscious movement where you reconnect with your innate joy. And this is a sacred moment just for you, a gift!

PART II

As you continue running and your breath has become steady, synchronize your exhale with a statement.

Inhale on a count of 4 (hm hm hm hm), and when you exhale you can whisper a statement, for example « I love my life » (rythm of 4 syllables).

Inhale again (hm hm hm hm), then again exhale and say « I love my life » or « I love myself» or « my life is great» or your own. Allow this statement to reach heart when you exhale. Own it, breathe it, feel it as a part of you.

This is how you can create any ritual: Action + Intention.

This Running Ritual fosters a deeper connection with yourself, your breath, your life energy, nature and beauty.

It will make you feel empowered and immensely free. Because all it takes is your decision to join Action + Intention.

Are you ready to go for a run now?
